To : this is a gift for you, so that you may always remember how to smile, even in the toughest times.
You are my best friend, art teacher, inspiration, encouragement, and consoler, and so I want to thank you for all that you are willing to give.
Your beautiful drawings and friendly attitude have caused me to become so attached to you that the first thing I want to do whenever I wake up or get home from work is to check dA for signs of Culpeo . I love you so much , even though I still feel like you barely know me .
Anyway... here is my first attempt at drawing / coloring Sin. (I seriously think I am better at drawing than I am at coloring...) I know it's not the best picture in the world and I don't blame you if you don't want to frame it and keep it on your wall forever, but I poured my heart into this one, so I hope that the funny expression will at least make you laugh . (he is supposed to be trying to convince you to smile!)
Sin also wants me to remind you that you've been neglecting him recently .
(BTW - it is very hard to color Sin even when you do have a step-by-step "how to color Sin" tutorial on hand... You have some serious colored-pencil skills!! I can't figure out why my coloring always comes out looking so different. Maybe I will post some of my funny disaster attempts later - it's a good thing I practiced before coloring the original! )
I think I must've given up about 4 times over (different sessions) before I finally finished this picture . It's so depressing to suck at art!
I'm just very relieved that it's finally done. What's next up? Sleep...
Sin (the character depicted here) is owned by , not me. (I hope you don't mind me borrowing your character to make this... )
I find a good strategy to colouring with pencils or what have you is to scan your sketch, print it off, and practice on your printed copy, so you can see exactly what it would look like.

This picture really makes me happy. I share the same feeling for Culpeo-Fox. He's probably had the most influence on my art than any other deviant. I can really make out the inspiration and joy you put into this drawing. Great job!
